Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP Appointed As a Special Counsel in Myint Kyaw a/k/a Jeffrey Wu

December 16, 2021, Eastern District of New York – Honorable Judge Robert E. Grossman grants the application of Lori Lapin Jones, Esq., in her capacity as the Chapter 11 Trustee for Myint Kyaw a/k/a Jeffrey Wu to appoint Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP as special corporate, tax and securities counsel to the Trustee. As stated in the application to employ special counsel, the services will be performed at the Trustee’s direction. The work to be performed by Golenbock will not duplicate the work performed by the Trustee’s retained general counsel, LaMonica Herbst & Maniscalco, LLP. Specifically, Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP is retained to carry out the following tasks :

a. providing discrete corporate, tax, and securities advice in connection with any settlement with ZBC;
b. analyzing documents relating to GTJ and advising the Trustee in connection with the liquidation of shares in GTJ;
c. preparing and/or reviewing documents in connection with any settlement with ZBC and/or the liquidation of shares in GTJ; and
d. performing such other legal work focusing on tax, corporate and securities issues as may be requested by the Trustee in connection with her statutory duties.
