September 15, 2021, Central District of California – Debtor Cinema Square, LLC seeks damages worth $1,199,296.00 from Defendant Galaxy Theatres Atascadero, LLC concerning an alleged breach of a lease agreement to rent a multi-complex theatre.

Allegedly, Cinema and Galaxy entered into a lease agreement dated October 23, 2009. The lease purportedly expired on March 31, 2021. Subsequently, the parties entered into a letter agreement to continue to operate the premises on a month-to-month basis on the same terms of the lease agreement. Galaxy allegedly failed to pay rent and defaulted on the lease.

Cinema brought a lawsuit, alleging that as a direct and proximate result of Galaxy’s breach, Cinema has been damaged for $1,199,296.00, plus late charges, interest, and other liquidated and unliquidated damages.
