December 22, 2021, District of Delaware – Pipeline Foods, LLC charges a family-owned business that has been raising poultry for almost three generations with a lawsuit for alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment. Pipeline Foods seeks to recover about $1,382,853.76 from Pitman Family Farms, alleging that Pitman obtained the benefits of the delivery of goods under a contract between the parties allegedly without fulfilling its obligations relating to such goods. Pipeline argues that allowing Pitman to retain the benefits of the goods without paying for the goods will unjustly enrich Pitman to the detriment of Pipeline Foods and its bankruptcy estate.

The case is In re Pipeline Foods, LLC et al. jointly administered under Case No. 21-11002 (KBO) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
