September 17, 2021, Eastern District of North Carolina – Honorable Bankruptcy Judge Joseph N. Callway recently approved the appointment of McGuireWoods LLP (“MW”) as a special counsel in the bankruptcy case of U.S. Tobacco Cooperative Inc. (“Debtors”)
As stated in the Debtors’ application, the special counsel will perform the following duties :
a) Represent and advise the Debtors on all matters in connection with the lawsuit styled U.S. Tobacco Cooperative, Inc. v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s Subscribing to Policy Numbers B1353DC1703690000 and B1353DC1602041000, Case No. 5:19-CV-00430-BO, which is now pending in the U.S. District Court for
the Eastern District of North Carolina; and
b) Represent and advise the Debtors in connection with any other litigation matters as may be requested by the Debtors and accepted by the special counsel.
