June 3, 2021, Western District of Missouri – On June 3, 2021, Honorable Bankruptcy Judge Cynthia A. Nortonapproved the employment and retention of Judosn Barclay Poppen as a special counsel to the Tranquility Group, LLC (“Debtors”) in the bankruptcy case ( Case number – 21-601210)
Earlier last month, on May 7, 2021, the Debtors had filed an application requesting entry of an order authorizing the Debtors to employ and retain Poppen under a general retainer, as a special counsel to the Debtor. The application states that his duties would not include any bankruptcy related matters including negotiations with creditors, development and performance of a reorganization plan or any other duty of bankruptcy counsel.
